FAQ
About the Medium
Why do some prints have visible grain? That's not a flaw — it's the fingerprint of film. Many of the images in this collection began on 35mm rather than digital, and film carries a natural grain structure that's part of how the moment was captured in the first place. That texture becomes more visible as a piece gets larger, especially in shadow and flat color. This isn't something to smooth over — it's the same raw quality that makes a piece feel like a real moment brought into your space, not a stock photo blown up to fit a wall. Want something quieter and tighter? Go smaller. Want the full, unfiltered character of the original negative taking over the room? Go big. If you're deciding between sizes for a specific piece, ask — happy to tell you exactly what it'll feel like at each size.
What format were these photographs shot on? Primarily 35mm film — the same instinct that pulls some people toward vinyl over streaming, or a manual transmission over an automatic. Film doesn't let you check the shot, burst-fire twelve frames, or fix it later. You commit to the moment, load by load, and the process rewards that involvement with a texture and character digital just doesn't replicate. It's less about nostalgia and more about choosing the harder, more honest way to make something.
Do you shoot digitally as well? yes — some images are shot digitally; each listing notes the format.
How does the image become the piece on your wall? Once an image is chosen, it goes through an HD metal print process: the photograph is infused directly into a specially coated aluminum panel, not printed onto paper or canvas. That's what gives the finished piece its vibrant, high-definition presence and its durability — built to hold its place in the room you're building, not just decorate it.
Sizing & What to Expect
What sizes are available, and which fits my space? small (11x14 inches), medium (16x20 inches), and larger (20x30 inches and 24x36 inches). Think about the role the piece plays: a smaller size for a quiet, personal moment; a larger size to anchor a room and pull it toward the wild you're bringing in.
Will grain be noticeable at larger sizes? Yes — and that's expected, not a flaw. Film grain becomes more present as a piece scales up. As a rough guide: small prints tend to stay smooth and tight; Medium prints show moderate texture; and large prints carry the full character of the film. Torn between two sizes for the same piece? Ask — happy to advise based on the specific image.
Is this a print, or a one-of-a-kind original? Each piece is a metal print made from the original photograph — not a one-of-a-kind original.
Do you offer custom sizes? Not at this time
Materials & Quality
What are the pieces made of? Each one is an HD metal print: the image infused into a specially coated aluminum panel rather than printed on paper. The result is vibrant, high-definition, scratch-resistant, and fade-resistant — a piece built to hold up in the sanctuary you're building, not just hang in it for a season.
How do I care for one? Simply. Wipe with a soft, dry cloth and it stays as vivid as the day it arrived. Skip abrasive cleaners or scouring pads — they can damage the coated finish.
How is it mounted? Each piece comes with a hidden hanging cleat that lets it float about 1/2" off the wall — no visible frame, no hardware showing, just the image itself commanding the space.
Are pieces signed or numbered? No not at this time
Ordering, Production & Returns
How long until my piece arrives? Every piece is made the moment you order it — nothing sits pre-printed in a warehouse waiting to be picked. Based on typical production and shipping timelines, expect roughly 5–10 business days domestically though please confirm the exact current estimate at checkout, since it can shift with order volume.
How is my order packaged? Each piece ships in a sturdy cardboard box, sized to protect it in transit — plain and unbranded, so the focus stays on the piece itself.
Do you ship internationally? No unfortunately we are not able to ship internationally at this time.
What's your return or exchange policy? Because every piece is made specifically for you the moment you order it, we're not able to accept returns for buyer's remorse or a change of heart on size. That said, if your piece arrives damaged, defective, or isn't what you ordered, reach out within 30 days of delivery with a photo and we'll get you a reprint or refund. If your package goes missing in transit, tell us and we'll help track it down or replace it — your sanctuary shouldn't come with unresolved loose ends.
Do you take commissions?
Potentially. If there's a specific moment of wild serenity you're after for your own space — a particular light, a particular place — reach out through the contact page with what you have in mind, your ideal size, and your timeline, and we can talk through whether it's a fit.
